There’s little else that is more comfortable than a body pillow. Soft, fluffy, and multi-purpose the body pillow is great for lazy day reading, sleepovers, or for general everyday use. What’s even better is that a body pillow is so simple to make! Go down to the fabric store, buy your favorite pattern, and get started! This pattern is sized out for children, but you can make it longer if you want—just look for a standard, uncovered body pillow form and measure your fabric based on that length.
- 1 1/4 yard of fabric (we recommend fleece for ultimate softness)
- Basic sewing supplies
- King-size pillow
*Leave ¼” seam allowance
*Finished product will measure 21” x 42”
Cut your fabric to measure 43” x 45”. Fold the fabric with the right sides together. Stitch together on 3 sides leaving an opening on one end so you can insert the pillow.
Turn out the fabric and stuff it with the pillow. Whipstitch the opening closed.
You’re done! If you have enough fabric laying around, you can do this for everyone in your family. All there’s left to do is grab some popcorn and your favorite film. Movie night never looked so good!
