What’s worse than going to the store during the height of holiday season for a last-minute supply run? Going to the store only to find out what you need is already gone! Don’t let that happen to you. Make your own cards for family and friends! These homemade cards add that extra special something to your holiday greetings and can be personalized for the recipient. They’re easy to do, fast, and cute!
If you completed the Holiday Banner project, you may already have some of the necessary materials! If not, head down to the craft store for these things:
- Adhesive die-cut burlap shapes
- Craft paper
- Glitter (optional)
- Craft paint (optional)
- Pinking shears (optional)
- Twine (optional)
*Fun tip: If you’re not making cards for the holiday season, get burlap shapes of any kind to tailor them for the occasion!
Cut the craft paper into a rectangle measuring 8.5” x 5.5”. Fold along the long side.
Take off the back to the shapes and adhere them on to the front in an arrangement you like!
Use the glitter, paint, shears, and twine to embellish the cards. You can see some of the examples in the completed project photo. The kids will love sending homemade thank you cards to friends and family, and you’ll enjoy a project that brings the whole family together.
