  1. 3/8-yard fabric (main)
  2. 3/8-yard Coordinating fabric
  3. Insul-Bright thermal batting 1/8- yard
  4. Binding
  5. Basic sewing supplies
  6. Sewing machine

DIRECTIONS:  Seam allowance 1/4”  Width of fabric = WOF

  1. Cut (2) 9” squares from the batting.
  2. Cut (1) 9” square from the main fabric = front.
  3. Cut (1) 9” square from the coordinating fabric = back.
  4. Sandwich the front and back of the fabrics between the batting, stitch around the outside edges to hold in place.
  5. Quilt as desired.
  6. Cut a 4” strip from the binding. Sew down the open side to close. Fold the binding in half, place the raw edges of the loop on a corner of the potholder and stitch in place.
  7. Stitch raw edge of binding to the front edge of the quilt with ¼” seam. Turn the folded edge under and press. Hand stitch in place or use a machine and stitch in the ditch.
